NEWHAVEN, United Kingdom – Effective DATE – Sylvania take a new centralised approach to forge success in uncertain times.
Sylvania, a leading full-spectrum provider of professional and architectural lighting solutions, today announced the appointment of Simon Reed CEO EMEA and German Jaime CEO LATAM as Global Vice President Sylvania.
In their new roles, Simon and German will formalise the collaborative working approach that the senior team has established and will forge the business's future success. Both Simon and German will continue their regional CEO roles, ensuring they stay close to their respective markets and keep building their local teams to achieve success going forward.
Collectively, Simon and German have over 50 years of experience in the lighting industry, with a large proportion of their careers dedicated to the Sylvania family.
“The appointments are in recognition of both CEOs' contributions to date,” said, Leo Li, Sylvania. "As we enter quarter four and journey towards the end of a challenging year, it's important to reflect on the positive momentum gained in a difficult year.”
Like many others we have been impacted by continued concerns surrounding COVID and product availability issues. The world stage has seen supply chain restrictions like no other time in recent history. Many of our positive steps surrounding company strategy, mission, vision, values, HR and people focus, cost control, margin focus - to name a few, have been made possible through a collaborative approach between regional leadership teams, global teams and close collaboration with the Feilo management team."
"It is essential to model the business for the future. We therefore will operate a more centralised approach moving forward to many business topics ensuring that we limit regional silos and roll out best practices across the business, leveraging the benefit from regional processes, procedures, and activities."
